Omg I kinda forgot I looked like that with long hair!!!

SO CHIO LEH. ; )

Not kidding. This handsome malay dude couldn't take his eyes off me the day I dressed up like that with curled hair ;D OOH LALLAALA. Hhahahaah.

Such a stark contrast when I looked at my shortest crop.

teh heh.
Same face, different hair but still same person inside out. (and still chio LOL)

Anyway, I just ran my 15km Singapore City Race today with Ooi Suxin.

GOOD LORD. I swear we ran and walked MORE than 15km ok. Coz it was amazing race style. So we had to find the locations ourselves. There were stations at different locations. AND KNOWING THAT NOT ONLY MY SENSE OF DIRECTION SUCKED, but OOI SUXIN's sense of direction ALSO sucked, we lost our way a couple... no wait I mean a NUMBER of times, we had to retrack our route lol lol.

So we started at 9.30am and guess what, we FINISHED AT 4pm!!!!! OMGGGG.

Our longest walking route? We walked all the way from Orchard Road to Marina Barrage. It was a f*$£(*%)£ long route ok. Coz we seriously walked by the longest route you can ever think of. We could've walked by MBS to Marina Barrage but NO, we walked a seriously LONGGG way in.

With no sense of direction
+
no sense of logic,

We STILL managed to make it to our end point : )

Best part? We didn't cheat at all. I was so bloody tempted to take a damn mrt back from Orchard all the way back to Marina Bay coz WTF? I didn't wanna walk all the bloody damn way back man!!! We completed all our stations already so why not just go back by mrt to receive our medal?!?!?!

But, Suxin pushed on and I felt like I needed to do it too. Receiving that medal thinking that I took public transport at the last part would pretty much suck. It was a race by foot. So. With our spearheaded doggedness (whatever that means), we PUSHED ONNNNN AND...

We won.

We were winners of our own race. And I thank Suxin for pushing me on and not let that nigga of a lazer in me cheat and take the mrt.

I'm pretty sure some people took public transport in the end. Nobody would find out anyways. Also, there will be people who wouldn't go back to Marina Barrage.

So essentially, we completed the race at 1:39pm but walked to the end point and did not succumb to whatever laziness eventually. We're awesome :')

The whole race ended at 5pm so it was not like we were late heh.

But glad we did it!!! It was my gift to Suxin coz her birthday's this coming Wednesday and I thought it would be nice for us to do this together. Who knew it'd turn out to be so memorable LOL with our pathetic sense of direction.

I started to lose colour in my vision at the start coz we kept stopping and going. Traffic junctions. Hate that! I'd rather run all the way without obstructions. What's more the weather.. was so damn bloody hot.

So if I had to do amazing race style again.. wow, I'd do that when I'm 30 lah. And when we have someone who has better sense of direction on the team. We really wasted a lot of time because of that today. Otherwise, good job to us : )

Anyway, I realised a lot of mid 30s and above were running LONG distances like 30+km and I really respect them. They were so cheerful and happy by the end of it and I really think they have so much life and energy despite their age. Makes me think that age is in no way a barrier to how you want to lead a healthier and fit lifestyle. Really salute them. That's what I'll work towards as I grow older : )

Suxin wanted to take a photo with out medals but I thought it was cheesy heh so no photos!

BUT I can photobooth for you lah hahahaha

Whoop dee whoop!

Part of THE collection of medals. More more more!!!

Right now, my toes are aching. And my legs will probably ache too like mad tomorrow fwahaha. Good aches I guess.
