Good times with Intern Rally. Yeah, they were my lovely intern friends while at Channel NewsAsia. During tough times, we Interns band togetha and rise above!!! Hahaha. But yeah, it was awesome to have them during my time over there. Can't believe making true friends is possible at work, argh missin' my intern times at CNA. I remember we'd always be so encouraging with one another and always tell each other to stay calm and do our best and simply be there for one another.
It was fun catching up with them over dinner and ice cream as you can see. (which wasn't really good anyway didn't like it much. i'd stick with macs) Nicole is my Year 1 junior in Wkw now and Mel's working full time at a pr firm. All making waves in our own ways~~~ : )
Random thought but wow Melanie's eyebrows are so totally different from mine man. Hers are so archeddd. And Nicole? She has none hahahaha.
Anyway, I yam heading off to Japan tomorrow!!! In fact, a few hours' time because my flight's at 5am so we gotta leave the house at 3am. Thank God I live at Pasir Ris ; ) Airport just a stone's throw away.
Can't wait to meet my Japanese friend whom I met in New Zealand... Yurina!!!!!! It's been a year and a half since I last saw her and I'm so excited to meet her again because she will be the first NZ friend I'm catching up while overseas AHHHH!!!! And in her home country. So freakin' excited to meet her. Plus, she flew to Tokyo just to meet me, so damn touched :')

I believe I got her out of her shell lor. She was damn quiet and shy when we all first got to know her.
At one of our fun Asian party nights hell yeahhhh you don't mess with Asia bro.

I remember that day being very strange and she kept saying, "it's very strange...". Because we were leaving one another and we all knew that we won't be seeing one another untill a very, very, very long time again.
BUT little did we know we're gonna see each other real soon! And if all goes well, we'll be taking a similar picture again tee hee.
Having International friends is just amazing man!! I love Intercultural everything.
Here's what I got her as gifts from Singapore:
Bak Kwa hahaha so damn tak halal. I also got her a bicycle ring, coz she loves to cycle.
Also, it's X'mas so might as well : )
Feels like I didn't get her enough stuff, but this will have to do I suppose!
My family and I will also be meeting my Japanese relatives abroad.
The last time we saw them was 2 years back when they came over to celebrate my cousin's wedding.
Just eliminate all the Singaporeans and you can tell who the Japanese siblings are hehe.

Other than that, I hope for a safe and fun trip with my family. It's graduation trip for the brother and the funny thing is that while we're away, he has an exam paper to sit for on the 11th, which was a postponed date because of his dengue the other time. So he's flying back to sit for the paper and having a return trip BACK to Japan on that day fwahahaha. Great, just great aye.
Also, I will be bringing my laptop. Because yeah FYP!
Need to send emails again and get in touch with organisations again, for we r on a hunt once again.
I'm happy that my group took the news today so well. We didn't stare blankly at one another but started with an action plan. At least we got something going.
We've encountered a hiccup but I know, we'll overcome this. We never know... it could be a problem that is happening for the better. But I shall keep my eyes on the road and scour the skies, as we start the hunt once more.
Learnt from our mistakes and we'll get back up again! There's a shorter time for us, but there is still time and I'm gonna take this positively.
Right now, my hiatus to Japan is a bit untimely but then again I guess things happen for a reason. I will have FYP on my mind while I'm there but that's ok : ) It's our baby afterall. I'll leave it in the hands of my good FYP mates. Carry out our action plans while I'm awayyyy.

I'll leave y'all for now till the 15th! Will be back with more photos and stories to tell. It's my first time in Japan so I am pretty excited!!!!!!!! Tokyo, Kyoto, as well as Onsen stories. That I gotta try but am so petrified to see other nekkid ladies struttin around with everything hairy and loose, good God... Seriously, I think Singaporean women are the most conservative of the lot of East Asians.
