In Singapore terms, PASAR MALAM!

It was introduced to Hamilton just last month! Opens every Saturday night. So I HAD to check it out before I leave! Been wanting to go to something like that for a long time coz I really like markets, and everyone had been there once except for moi.

To be honest, I have to say that I was IMPRESSED. Like seriously. I was expecting something that wasn't much. Like a small tiny alleyway or something. BUT the night market was AWESOMEEE!!!

There was so much food to try. International food from all over the world like Argentinian, Mexican, German, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, WOAH LUVVIT SIAH. But of coz much more expensive than prices of Singapore's pasar malam. Like a hotdog would cost 7 bucks which is quite errr -.- But still, I was impressed. Claps hands, Hamilton.

Tried a Korean fish cake on a stick for 2 bucks. Cheapest thing so go for it.

Tasted my first Churros here and it was awesome :')
Didn't even know what it was until last month.
It's Spanish apparently. I wonder how they'd taste like in actual Spain.. melt in the mouth?!? :'DDDD

A bunch of kids were really cute, they came up to us and asked what we were eating. We were like Churros! And they're yummy, go get some! Come to think of it, they might've been waiting for us to offer them some, BUT NO! WE QUEUED. WE WAITED. SO THEY'RE ALL MINE TO SAVOUR MUAAHAHAHAHHA. $8 for 6 sticks. So yumz. Duh, typical Singaporean knows what's best. Long queue=Great business.

Sorry no pics of Churros, coz we ravished them too fast. too furious.

With my loveliest Korean and Japanese girls!
Was eating this Japanese oki-something. Ok I just went to google it, it's called Okonomiyaki!
Definitely very ECO-no-mical HAHA. Just dump a lot of cabbage and everything inside. Quite a lot of filling for $6.
Japanese pancake filled with chicken as well, which the chef recommended out of other meat options like prawns and seafood. Absolute yumz and took me forever to finish eating teehee.

Another reason why I was so excited coming here must've been.... THE CROWDS. OH HOW I MISS CROWDS! I miss people. Hamilton was missing out all that. The clubs are not considered. Clubs are trash hahaha. So finally, I was so glad, I am presented with hordes of people. Ok, not that many but I was happy to finally be surrounded by people. And not empty streets. HEHE. WAS SO HAPPY AND EXCITED THAT DAY.

COZ ANOTHER HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT WAS.....

DOING A HAIR WRAP!!!!
YIPPEEEEEEEEEEE.

I'm a hippee now whoop whoop!

To see the whole process, me gots a video. Taken by my lovely new Malaysian friend, Ralph, who was so nice to accompany me all throughout my hair wrapping episode! : )

I LOVE IT!!!!!!

The oldest hippie I've ever met. TALK ABOUT YOLO, he's really livin it up!

When he first got started.

It was such a spontaneous decision to do the hair wrap. Coz we were just walking around when I saw a girl getting her hair wrapped and I was like WOW!!!! Looks so nice!!! And started to walk towards the booth. I was thinking of doing it and Ralph egged me on! Without that boy, I wouldn't have and prolly just walked past it. Friends are good influence ;D SO I DID IT! 15 dollars. I asked if I could have it for 10, but I suck at bargaining. So whatup!! But it was one of the best investments ever!

Me being all happy and excited. I literally couldn't stop smiling!

I can't believe doing something like that could make me so happy. Guess that's why people bother to spend and do certain things, coz it simply makes us happy! Even if for a short while : )

I LOVE LOVE the multi colours I chose.

Initially I had a tough time deciding. As always haha. I saw a gold and silver one and thought it was nice. But I also wanted colours... I was about to go with this South African looking combi with green yellow red when I saw the pattern on the old man's hair, and I'm like I WANT YOURS.

And he managed to find one that had transitions of colours and a gold thread and I knew at that moment, This Is It. There are just moments like these when you know exactly what it is you want and the colour combinations were PERFECT. I love the dark blue part that intersected with the gold : )

Ralph was talking to him while I just sat there smiling like a model hahaha. The old man... alright let's call him The Crafter. Oh wait, we got his name! Paul! So Paul was originally from Britain and picked up this hair wrapping skill from a lady while he was there. Can't remember how long he's been doing it. But by the looks of it, pretty skilled. I wouldn't say the skill is very difficult coz it's something like friendship bands but his patterns are definitely not the ordinary. Like, the cross sections are absolutely pretty I love it so much. PLUS THE BEADS!!! How can you forget the beads?? 2 beads at the end. They make the whole hair wrap so much more legit haha. I felt Nepalese from the Himalayas or something, definitely very hippie and tribal like Paul.

And did you see the way he let down my hair????! SO GENTLE!!!! AWWW!!!!!!!

My hair is so long as well by now, so I'm very happy I got to do something with it. : ) It gets to stay on for 2-8 months as mentioned. WOOHOO! That's what I call an investment.

We walked away after paying then realised we hadn't asked if there were any special treatment needed when I washed my hair or something and he simply replied, nothing.

"You can go swimming with it. Anything!"

Alrightey then. That's the way man. Low maintenance hair. Might as well do the whole head right then no need to shower already. Reminds me of dreadlocks. Ralph thought I had to get a dreadlock to get my hair wrapped HA!

I am just so HAPPY!!!! Count all the smiley faces throughout the post! The Hair Wrap is officially a part of me and I, a part of it! LOL. Siao geena siah. But seriously, I immediately felt attached to it? Like it's literally attached to me, but I am attached to it through heartfelt connections!? Ahh... I love it. It is a part of me now. I feel like the colours ARE me. My god, what's happened to me. Do it if you have long silky hair like mine : ) It only takes about 15 minutes for it to be done.

Fast, especially since I had a Master Crafter like HIM,

Ma first hippie friend.

Our wraps are just about the same length... which means those few strands of hair must be just as long or longer than mine LOL.

So far, bathing with it is fine. It's a lil heavy tho so when I wake up, I can feel the tugs. But no worries! I'd rather tug than unravel. Which shouldn't happen! Just slight paranoia.

And back to food and friends,
   photo P6081613_zps9e75625f.jpg
2 random dudes just came charging into the picture with Asian twists. Hahhaah

Aww I'll miss my friends! :(

Thanks Hamilton though. Small city, but definitely, the introduction of this Hamilton Night Market was a fab idea. SO anybody thinking about dropping by little ghetto Hamilton, come by on a weekend Saturday!
